On August 14th, golfers, sponsors, and volunteers came together at the Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono, Maine, for a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and giving back. This year marked a major milestone—the 20th Annual Clayton Johndro Memorial Golf Tournament—and the community rose to the occasion in remarkable fashion. Thanks to the generosity of all involved, the tournament raised a record-breaking $50,000 for local children in need, bringing the lifetime total to an incredible $454,010.
What started two decades ago as a way to honor Clayton Johndro’s legacy has grown into something extraordinary. Year after year, the tournament has brought people together, united by a shared commitment to supporting local youth. Last year’s event set the bar high with $40,000 raised, but this year’s outpouring of support was nothing short of inspiring.
One of the most powerful aspects of this event is that every dollar raised goes directly to help local children through Three Rivers Kiwanis. Whether providing warm clothing, school supplies, or opportunities for growth and development, these funds make a tangible difference in the lives of kids right here in the Milo region. It’s a tradition of giving that has only grown stronger with time.
